Sheffield United have agreed a deal to sign Leeds United target Gustavo Hamer from Coventry City.
That is according to Daily Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath, who reports Hamer is set for a medical with the Blades today after an agreement of £15 million was reached between the two clubs.
Sheffield United have been in the market for midfield reinforcements after selling Sander Berge to Burnley earlier this week.
And it appears as though they are set to pip Leeds to one of their top targets in the centre of midfield in what is a major blow for Daniel Farke.
Leeds have been linked with a move for Hamer throughout the summer but ultimately have waited too long to make their move, with Sheffield United all but set to sign him.

Farke is in desperate need of additions in the centre of the park and there would have been no one better to fit the bill than Hamer.
Hamer was the best midfielder in the division last season as he scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists as Coventry got to within a penalty shootout of the Premier League.
Leeds are about to receive £20 million from the imminent sale of Tyler Adams to Chelsea and the money from that deal would’ve been put to good use on Hamer.
However, Leeds will now have to re-think their strategy of midfield reinforcements with at least two new signings needed in that area before the end of the window.
Hamer will undoubtedly represent Sheffield United’s best piece of business so far following a summer of disappointment since promotion.
