Tyler Adams is still expected to depart Leeds United this summer despite the collapse of his move to Chelsea.
That is according to Daily Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath, who claims Adams is likely to seal a transfer to a different club later in the window.
Adams had looked all set for a move to Stamford Bridge earlier this week after Chelsea triggered the £20 million release clause that became active in his contract after relegation.
The 24-year-old had even been in London to complete a medical and the formalities of a transfer until Chelsea pulled the plug at the final stages.
As per McGrath, despite Chelsea denying the collapse of his move was down to their £111 million bid for Moises Caicedo, ‘other sources’ have suggested the two are linked.

Adams has been the subject of interest from a number of Premier League sides this summer, with Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Aston Villa all having been linked.
It remains to be seen if any of those clubs opt to make a move for Adams in the final three weeks of the window, though according to Ben Jacobs, Brighton will not be.
The USMNT captain is still recovering from a hamstring injury that has kept him out of action for almost six months.
Leeds remain in the market for midfield reinforcements but it will be interesting to see how the break down of Adams’ Chelsea move could alter their plans.
From a Leeds perspective, if he is to leave, it would certainly be beneficial if it was to be completed as swiftly as possible.
