Leeds United remain in need of strengthening their options at left-back before the end of the window.
It has been a problem position at Elland Road for numerous years with Leeds not really having had a reliable presence their since Charlie Taylor’s exit in 2017.
Sam Byram has been brought in on a free transfer to help bolster Daniel Farke’s options, but of course, he is right-footed and the injury problems he has encountered in recent years cannot be forgotten.

Junior Firpo, who had been expected to move on this summer, remains at the club but as has been typical of his Leeds career, is currently on the sidelines through injury.
Leo Hjelde was handed starts in Leeds’ first two games of the season in all competitions at left-back but failed to take his opportunity, and as such, it remains an area of concern.
Leicester could loan out Luke Thomas, who’d be ideal for Leeds
According to talkSPORT journalist Jason Bourne, Leeds’ promotion rivals Leicester City could loan out Luke Thomas before next week’s deadline.
Thomas is said to be keen on securing regular game time elsewhere with new signing Callum Doyle currently ahead of him in the pecking order.

The 22-year-old has lost his way a bit over the last 12 months but is undoubtedly a player full of talent, having already racked up 85 appearances for the Foxes.
Brendan Rodgers was the man to hand Thomas his debut back in July 2020, and hailed his composure as ‘incredible’, both defensively and in possession.
It is uncertain as to whether Leicester would want to lose Thomas to a direct promotion rival in Leeds, but he certainly represents a low-cost, but effective option for Farke to consider as the window enters its final stages.
