Regis Le Bris is expected to leave Lorient with Leeds United and OGC Nice doing battle for the French manager this summer – and now, journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter has claimed on Twitter that his release clause is just £4.3m.
Le Bris, 47, is seen as a manager with huge potential. Spending 11 years at Lorient, he was finally given the manager role last summer. He took over a side that finished in 16th in 21-22 – but guided Lorient to an impressive 10th place.
That is, despite losing star striker Terem Moffi in January. So, Le Bris’ name is obviously going to attract suitors this summer, and The Sun initially said that Leeds were one of those. RMC Sport say Nice have an agreement with him.
The latter report does state Nice and Lorient have not come to an agreement. Other reports out of France also say Le Bris’ future is still undecided and he is yet to make a decision. Now, Toubache-Ter says he will cost £4.3m (€5M).

Le Bris would be a wonderful appointment, and while his exit from Lorient – where he has worked for over a decade – does look as though it is set to come to an end, the chances are he will remain in France. Nice are pushing hard.
Leeds have been linked with plenty of others. Steven Gerrard, Scott Parker, Graham Potter and Brendan Rodgers are all out of work. Luton’s Rob Edwards, Celta Vigo’s Carlos Carvalhal and West Brom boss Carlos Corberan, too.
But there are question marks about some of those candidates, while Potter, Rodgers and Edwards will hardly drop into the Championship. Le Bris would be one to get excited about, but again, Leeds would be pulling off a real coup.
