Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims Leeds United have rejected a bid made by Burnley for talent Cody Drameh, but that Burnley are preparing a new offer for the England U21 star – after he starred out on loan at Luton last term.
Drameh, 21, went on loan to Luton, leaving leeds temporarily for the second time. His first loan came in the middle of 2021-22, joining Cardiff and winning the Player of the Season award in just half a season. He then returned to us.
But instead of giving him a chance, Leeds chose to keep Luke Ayling and sign Rasmus Kristensen. It saw Drameh go again, in January, to Luton. He helped Rob Edwards’ side gain promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Luton and Burnley would enter talks for Drameh, before Lancs Live said that Brentford also want him. Now, the latest report says Burnley have had a bid rejected – but that a new bid is coming.

Leeds have got to do their utmost to keep Drameh at the club given his performances in both loan spells at Cardiff and Luton. He is the perfect right-back to have in the Championship. But, Leeds are going to struggle to keep him.
Not just because his Leeds deal ends in June 2024. But, because he is generating Premier League interest from more than just one side. It depends on the price, but at least it is a sign that the 49ers are keep to keep Drameh.
It might mean that Ayling or Kristensen have a decision to make. Ayling is experienced, he has been here before and won promotion before. He is good back-up, while Kristensen could play in the middle. But he may decide to depart.
