Josuha Guilavogui knows all about new Leeds United signing Lukas Nmecha and after it was confirmed that Nmecha had joined Leeds, Guilavogui reacted with five words.
Seven-time Germany international Nmecha joins Leeds on a two-year contract. His contract at Wolfsburg has come to an end, with the forward now opting to join Leeds on a deal until the summer of 2027.
The move to sign Nmecha has come completely out of the blue. Graham Smyth reported earlier today that a deal for Nmecha was incoming, but his news was the first Leeds fans had heard of Nmecha signing.
It sees Leeds bring in another source of firepower up top, alongside Joel Piroe, Patrick Bamford, and Mateo Joseph. The latter continues to be linked with a move to Real Betis, while at the U21’s Euros.

Josuha Guilavogui posts five-word verdict as Leeds sign Nmecha
Nmecha has joined on a free transfer after 19 goals in 85 Wolfsburg appearances over the last four years. But Nmecha has failed to live up to predictions made by Vincent Kompany after his loan at Anderlecht.
Leeds announced the signing of Nmecha, just a few hours after the news of his potential arrival had been reported. Guilavogui knows Nmecha well, sharing the pitch 37 times during their time at Wolfsburg.
Guilavogui of course, has just left Leeds on a free transfer with his contract at Elland Road coming to an end. Responding to Leeds’ post confirming the news, Guilavogui said: “Welcome to our MOT family”.

What Leeds are now planning to do after Lukas Nmecha signing
It is not the first time that Leeds have pulled off a signing without any prior warning, during Daniel Farke’s era as manager. Back in the summer of 2024, Joe Rothwell arrived from Bournemouth out of the blue.
Anything can happen in the transfer window and Nmecha’s signing proves that. Leeds are expected to sign another striker alongside Nmecha, while talks continue to sign Udinese and Slovenia ace Jaka Bijol.
Leeds have many spinning plates at the moment and other players will be signed as Farke and Leeds prepare for an influx of new additions come the start of the 2025-26 Premier League campaign.
