Marc Roca has impressed since returning to Spain on loan at Real Betis from Leeds United with a deal expected to keep him at the La Liga side – and Isco is clearly a big fan of his Betis teammate.
Roca, 27, had endured three difficult years before returning to Spain. In the summer of 2020, he ended his spell at boyhood club Espanyol to join Bayern Munich. But he managed just 24 games in two years.
He joined Leeds and while he was first choice, the left-footed midfielder struggled to impress. He was one of eight senior players to use the relegation loan clause to leave Elland Road in 2023, for Betis.
A move that has seen him shine. A number of those eight players have impressed. Robin Koch has at Frankfurt, earning a permanent move. Jack Harrison, Luis Sinisterra, Max Wober are all playing well.
Already clocking up 29 games for Betis, Roca has had a hand in seven goals for Manuel Pellegrini’s side – starring not only in Spain, but in the Europa League too. Roca has played in midfield, and in defence.

Indeed, Roca himself has said that talks over a permanent deal are ongoing and he would be happy to sign permanently with the Spanish outfit. He is reportedly one of the most-sought after players in Spain.
He is playing alongside Isco at Betis and the latter was asked to combine five players for his perfect player on ESPN’s Instagram. He picked Lionel Messi for his left foot, and Cristian Ronaldo for the right.
He also picked Roca, for strength. Real Madrid icon Zinedine Zidane for his skills, and Madrid’s current speed machine Vinicius Jr for his pace. Roca then, alongside footballing royalty, according to Isco.
