Ipswich Town have just made a bid for ‘unplayable’ attacker also wanted by Leeds United

Leeds United are battling it out alongside Ipswich Town for a place in the top two but so far it is only the latter who have strengthened.

The Tractor Boys have brought in both Jeremy Sarmiento and Lewis Travis on loan for the rest of the season, as they look to get themselves over the line, in what has been a remarkable campaign so far.

Leeds, meanwhile, are willing to be patient this month in order to secure their top targets but it would appear that Ipswich have made the first move in a player also linked with Elland Road.

According to the Athletic, Ipswich and Sunderland have both submitted loan offers to Bournemouth for striker Kieffer Moore, though neither have met the demands set by the Premier League club.

Cardiff City have also enquired about the availability of Moore, who is said to be keen to leave the Cherries in order to play regular football ahead of the EUROs in the summer, which Wales have not yet qualified for.

Ipswich make offer for Leeds target Moore

So far, Leeds are yet to make a move for Moore, despite being ‘aware’ that Bournemouth have made him available for transfer in the January window.

Moore is one of six Wales internationals who have been linked with a move to Leeds this month, with David Brooks, Connor Roberts, Chris Mepham, Neco Williams and Ben Davies having also too.

However, Leeds currently have bigger priorities in terms of adding to their squad than striker, with both full-back positions, a creative attacker and a central defender if Charlie Cresswell leaves, more important.

That said, Moore is a proven performer at this level having helped Bournemouth to promotion a couple of seasons ago, which prompted their former manager Scott Parker to label him as ‘unplayable’.

Ipswich, though, are clearly looking to add to their squad as much as possible in the remaining weeks of the window, and Leeds need to ensure they do too.
