Leeds United face their toughest match of the season so far as they make the trip to Leicester City tonight.
Daniel Farke’s side go into the game at the King Power Stadium already 14 points adrift of the Foxes despite themselves sitting third in the Championship.
Leeds have won four of their last five matches but are set to face a side who have picked up 39 points from a possible 42 available, a run which includes nine successive league victories.
Many people view this as the strongest two squads in the division going head-to-head, but Leeds know they cannot afford to suffer their fourth defeat of the season if they are to keep in touch with Leicester.
Victory in the East Midlands would send a real statement of intent out to the rest of the division for Leeds, with Leicester having made a record breaking start to the season already looking like certainties for promotion.
Prutton predicts Leicester vs Leeds match
In his latest EFL predictions column for Sky Sports, David Prutton views this as Leicester’s toughest test of the campaign and is expecting Leeds to come away with a point.
He wrote: “A real heavyweight clash to kick things off on Friday night. Leicester City look imperious, unstoppable. They are breaking records everywhere, but this is surely their toughest challenge of the season so far.
“Leeds have as many points as Burnley did at the same stage last season, but they could well need to win here to try and keep track of the top two. It is a big, big game. I think the Foxes could well be held.”

A point would certainly not be the worst result in the world for Leeds with Leicester clearly at the top of their game right now with the run of form they are currently in.
Leeds will need to ensure they are much stronger at the back than in other tough away matches they have faced so far this season at Southampton, Ipswich Town and Norwich City.
At the same time, the likes of Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville will need to be at the top of their game, as they have the capability to destroy any defence in this league.
