Ian Wright was amongst those to applaud one Leeds United star as Daniel Farke’s side knocked Peterborough United of the FA Cup on Sunday.
Leeds booked their spot in the fourth round with a victory over the League One side this weekend. Daniel Farke made a number of changes. But Patrick Bamford was one of those to keep his place for the trip to the Weston Homes Stadium.
Bamford scored against Birmingham earlier this week as he made his first start of the campaign in the Championship.

It was Patrick Bamford who doubled Leeds’ lead in the second-half, finding the corner with a stunning volley from outside the penalty area.
It was a moment of sheer brilliance from the one-time England international. And Ian Wright was one of those who was clearly impressed, with the Premier League winner taking to X to applaud the 30-year-old…
Big boost for Daniel Farke if striker finds his form again
It is definitely a big boost for Leeds if Bamford does find some luck with his fitness and some form in front of goal.
Certainly, scoring two in two will do him the world of good right now.
Bamford has come in for criticism over the last couple of years. And it is probably fair to say that he has not contributed enough when he has been available.
But he has proven himself in the Championship before. And Leeds are crying out for a prolific striker right now, with neither Georginio Rutter or Joel Piroe in the best goalscoring form at the moment.
It is probably still going to be some time before Leeds feel that they can really rely on Bamford again. But his goal on Sunday was a reminder of what he can be capable of when he is playing at his best.
