Ian Poveda has sent a three-word message to Leeds United supporters after his outstanding performance against Nottingham Forest on Thursday.
The 23-year-old posted on Instagram with the caption ‘time will tell’ as he continues his attempts to stake a claim for a place in Leeds’ squad for the upcoming season.
Poveda had appeared to be surplus to requirements at Leeds after spending the last two seasons out on loan at Blackburn Rovers and Blackpool respectively.

He had a mixed time in each of those temporary spells away, suffering a broken leg while at the former, and being in and out of the team at the latter.
However, Daniel Farke has ensured each player is coming in with a blank canvas under his management this summer, handing the likes of Poveda the chance to impress.
Poveda posts three-word message to Leeds supporters
Poveda played the opening 45 minutes of Leeds’ first friendly against Manchester United, before then being an unused substitute in the defeat to Monaco.
He was, however, brought on for the second half in the win over Nottingham Forest and certainly took his chance with a very impressive performance.
Starting on the wing, Poveda showed his quick-feet and trickery during the early minutes of his cameo, before then being moved into the number 10 role.
In what is a problem position for Leeds, Poveda looked excellent playing centrally and capped off his performance with an excellent goal five minutes from time.
Farke spoke after the game on Poveda and claimed he still has plenty of work to do to force his way into his plans, but as the former Manchester City man says, only ‘time will tell’.
