David Prutton has provided his prediction ahead of Leeds United’s match with Swansea City tomorrow night.
Leeds welcome the Swans to Elland Road looking to return to winning ways after a disappointing first game back after the international break at Rotherham United.
Despite only picking up a point, Leeds did actually gain a bit of ground on second place Ipswich Town after their 2-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Leeds have three former Swansea players in their squad ahead of the game, including Joel Piroe, who will be facing his old side for the first time since leaving in the summer and looking to get back to his best.
In his latest weekly EFL predictions column for Sky Sports, Prutton has shared how he is expecting a high scoring affair after Leeds’ frustrating evening on Friday night.
Prutton predicts Leeds to beat Swansea
Former Leeds midfielder Prutton has backed Daniel Farke’s side to make it six home wins in a row in the Championship by a fairly comfortable scoreline.
He wrote: “Just when you think Leeds are going to start marching, they go and manage to draw at Rotherham. They should have been a few up in that game before conceding the equaliser. It was a chance missed to put some real pressure on Ipswich.
“Swansea would have been frustrated to lose that two-goal lead against Hull. I just can’t see them getting anything from Elland Road, either. Prediction: Leeds 3-1 Swansea.”
Prutton also predicted Leeds to come out with 3-1 winners at Rotherham on Friday and so hopefully he is more accurate this time.
Farke should be tempted to make changes to his side tomorrow night, with Sam Byram, Pascal Struijk and Willy Gnonto all pushing for starts.
Leeds can’t afford to keep slipping up in matches they should be winning and hopefully a win against Swansea can kick start another winning run.
