Daniel Farke is likely to make a few changes on Wednesday night as Leeds United take on Swansea City at Elland Road, with Leeds preparing for our second of three games in the space of eight days.
After a disappointing return from the international break, drawing 1-1 at Rotherham United, Leeds now welcome Swansea to Elland Road. A Swansea side in poor form themselves, winning one of their last six.
Farke will have to me mindful of this weekend’s clash against Middlesbrough, but will also be keen to get back to winning ways. Joel Piroe struggled last time out, with the Dutchman struggling to find his form.
The summer signing was well below par against Rotherham at the New York Stadium, and Wednesday might present Farke with the ideal chance to make a few changes – with Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Georginio Rutter lasted 70 minutes on Friday and if he is fit, he will surely start. But, perhaps it will be a new role for the Frenchman in order to take Piroe out of the firing line – and Patrick Bamford comes in.

Sam Byram was given a rest at Rotherham and he will surely come back in for Junior Firpo, who looked rusty in the 1-1 draw – understandably so, after such a long time out. Pascal Struijk will also be fit.
Farke may also feel that a bit of rotation out wide is needed, and give Willy Gnonto a start – after his excellent international break, and a bright cameo role against Rotherham. So, four possible changes.
In come Bamford, Gnonto, Byram and Struijk in place of the struggling Piroe, Dan James, Firpo and captain Liam Cooper – who picked up a hamstring issue towards the end of the Rotherham draw.
