Daniel Farke provided an update on some of his injured Leeds United players in his press conference earlier today.
Farke confirmed both Patrick Bamford and Sam Byram will be out for tomorrow’s trip to Plymouth Argyle, but had better news on the availability of Jamie Shackleton.
That leaves just Stuart Dallas, Pascal Struijk and Karl Darlow as Leeds’ long-term absentees. The most positive update from that trio came on the latter.
Darlow has been out of action since suffering a dislocated thumb in the warm-up prior to the defeat at West Bromwich Albion in December, but there is now light at the end of the tunnel for the 32-year-old.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference at lunchtime earlier today, Farke says is expecting to have Darlow back fully fit and available before the next international break in March.
Farke provides clear Darlow timeline
He said: “Karl Darlow a few days less than two weeks. I expect him to be available for the games before March international break.”
Farke said last week that Darlow was still two weeks away from full team training but this latest update is another positive step in the right direction in his recovery.

Darlow had been fit for the entirety of his time at Leeds following his summer move from Newcastle United, until he was finally in line for a period of matches in the side.
However, he unfortunately picked up an injury at the most unfortunate of times which will have undoubtedly frustrated him no end, given he moved to Leeds in order to be number one.
Illan Meslier’s red card at Preston North End saw him suspended for three matches, with the game at West Brom – in which he played with the injury that has kept him sidelined ever since – handing him his first league start in a Leeds shirt.
