Daniel Farke has told Wednesday’s press conference – as per the club’s YouTube – that as the window grows older, Leeds United are getting closer to being in control of their players, and the work they do in the transfer window.
Jack Harrison moved on loan to Everton this week, while Tyler Adams continues to be linked with a move to top-tier side Bournemouth – joining Max Aarons. Luis Sinisterra, Willy Gnonto and Helder Costa are training by themselves.
Of course, a large portion of the team have seen loan clauses become active in the event of relegation. Harrison has joined Diego Llorente, Robin Koch, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, Max Wober and Brenden Aaronson in departing.
So, the future of Sinisterra, Gnonto, Tyler Adams and Costa is left to sort out. The rest, well it looks pretty certain it is almost coming to an end. Farke suggested as much, saying Leeds are close to being back in the driving seat.
“We do not speak about loan clauses in contracts because it’s unprofessional. What I can confirm is the closer we edge towards the end of the window, the more we are in control. We are back in the driving seat, that is good news.”

It has been a mess so far. The four signings are good ones. Ethan Ampadu looks excellent, Joe Rodon is a smart addition on loan and if Sam Byram stays fit – a good squad player. Karl Darlow is a bargain at just £400k in goal.
Hopefully, with just over a fortnight left in the window, Leeds start to make a few more signings. Until all of the players that are expected to leave, have left, we will be unsure what we need to buy. But Farke seems confident.
