Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams is still prioritising a move to the Premier League this summer.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who provided an update on Adams’ future on the latest episode of his ‘Here We Go Podcast’.

Speculation surrounding the future of Adams has continued throughout the summer with a host of Premier League clubs having been linked with a move.

Aston Villa have been mentioned as the most likely destination, though that is yet to progress as expected, while Brighton and Newcastle United are also among those linked.

Adams is yet to make his return to full training at Leeds with the 24-year-old still recovering from the hamstring injury that kept him out of the final two months of the season.

Transfer guru Romano says Adams’ injury is currently slowing down any progress for a potential transfer, but there remains a ‘concrete chance’ he moves on this summer.

He said: “The injury doesn’t help of course, but the expectation is that Tyler Adams will make a move this summer, there will be conversations there will be negotiations. There are some clubs interested in the Premier League.

“I am told that the Premier League is the priority of the player more than the Bundesliga, some Bundesliga clubs tried to explore the move, but the priority is the Premier League and so let’s see on that one, but I think there is a concrete chance for Tyler Adams to leave.”

Adams remains one of the players San Francisco 49ers Enterprises are keen to keep this summer despite his long-term injury and the ongoing speculation.

The USMNT captain clearly remains a big part of the club’s plans with Leeds’ social media having posted him regularly across their platforms this summer.

He also played a key role in helping Ethan Ampadu make his move to Elland Road and keeping Adams could help form a formidable partnership in midfield.
