How to watch Luton Town vs Leeds United: TV channel, live stream and team news for must-win fixture

Leeds United desperately need to get back to winning ways when they take on Luton Town this weekend.

The quest to finally return to the Premier League is suddenly looking fraught as Leeds United have just one win in their last five games.

Last weekend’s agonising 2-2 draw with Swansea City, with Illan Meslier making costly errors for both goals, means Sheffield United now have a two-point lead at the top of the Championship table.

To make matters even worse, Burnley are on the same number of points as Daniel Farke’s side, too, so any further slip-ups could see them drop out of the automatic promotion places.

With nerves and pressure building, Leeds urgently need to win or risk sliding into the play-offs for a second season running.

Here’s what you need to know about the fixture.

Farke confirmed that Karl Darlow will start ahead of Meslier in his pre-match press conference.

He said: “I have taken my decision and spoken to the goalkeepers, Karl Darlow will play Saturday.

Prediction

Not only is form and the weight of expectations going against Leeds, but they have an early kick-off hoodoo to get over, too.

Leeds have now won just two of their last 14 league games that have started at 1:30 pm or earlier, with the recent 2-2 draw with QPR and defeat to Portsmouth the latest examples.

If Leeds don’t get past this hiccup and pick up a win at 23rd-placed Luton, then they will be in serious trouble in the promotion race.

Prediction: Luton 1-2 Leeds.
