Leeds United are back in action at Elland Road on Tuesday night with Watford making the trip up to Yorkshire.

Daniel Farke’s side picked up a fantastic and vital victory in the Championship title race on Friday night by dealing Sheffield United their first defeat of the season.

Pascal Struijk and Mateo Joseph grabbed the goals in the Yorkshire derby and saw Leeds United climb up the table, finishing the weekend in third place.

The games come thick and fast and Leeds must continue to build the momentum when they take on Watford on Tuesday.

The Hornets were left with egg on their faces last weekend when they lost their own derby to Luton after taking the mick out of the town on social media beforehand.

Watford are inconsistent and just as capable of dealing out a win as they are of suffering one, so Leeds shouldn’t take them lightly. Here’s all you need to know about the game.

Leeds United vs Watford team news

Ethan Ampadu, Ilia Gruev and Max Wober all remain sidelined for Leeds but there are no fresh concerns going into the match.

“No big concerns. No one picked up any injuries from the game. Sometimes this time of year players can pick up a cold. But nothing should stop us from playing our best possible line-up on the pitch,” Farke said.

“It can differ, we have to use the wings a bit more. It is important to stay flexible and be flexible, and not to be predictable. I’m not a friend of changing too much.”

Meanwhile, Angelo Ogbona has been ruled out for Watford and the game has come too soon for Jeremy Ngakia and Kevin Keben.

Prediction

Watford are a difficult team to predict. They appear to be on a pattern of following up wins with defeats and following up defeats with wins. Guess which result they are due on Tuesday?

Leeds put in a strong performance against the Blades on Friday night, though, and should be buoyed by confidence going into the match.

With Burnley and Sunderland not playing until Wednesday, there’s a chance to claim top spot in the Championship table on the line, too, even if for just 24 hours.

Prediction: Leeds 3-1 Watford
