Leeds United are aiming to get 2025 off to the best possible start when they take on Yorkshire rivals Hull City this weekend.
2024 ended on a damp note for Leeds United as they once again failed to beat Blackburn Rovers and found a baffling new way to do it.
Daniel Farke’s side took the lead in the 88th minute when Pascal Struijk converted from the penalty spot yet they couldn’t hold on for even two minutes before Danny Batth equalised.
It was an opportunity missed for Leeds to put some distance between themselves and Burnley and Sheffield United but they still sit at the top of the Championship table with a three-point advantage.
But to ensure they keep hold of their position they must get back to winning ways against Hull City this weekend.
Here’s everything you need to know about the fixture.

Predictions
Hull are down in the relegation zone, languishing in 22nd place, and Leeds should be able to comfortably ease past them.
Yet, the Tigers are capable of pulling a result out of nowhere and managed to beat Blackburn themselves last week where Leeds failed. They shouldn’t be underestimated.
Prediction: Hull 1-2 Leeds.
