Leeds United will be aiming to keep their momentum going when they travel to Blackburn Rovers this weekend.
It’s been a great week for Leeds United who are back flying high at the top of the Championship table following their dramatic victory over Swansea City and comfortable thumping of Luton Town.
Daniel Farke’s side are still neck and neck with Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United but Sunderland could do Leeds a massive favour if they can defeat the Blades in a massive clash on Friday night.
A victory for the Black Cats would see them climb up to top spot but Leeds can then overtake them again should they win at Blackburn the following day.

How to watch Blackburn vs Leeds
Despite not being subject to the 3 pm blackout rule, Blackburn vs Leeds has not been selected for broadcast in the UK.
Why isn’t Blackburn vs Leeds on Sky Sport+
That even includes on Sky Sports +. Sky have been televising and live-streaming a lot more EFL fixtures this season through their Sky Sports + channels but, on a Saturday, those games always kick-off at 12:30 pm.
The reason this match won’t be on Sky Sports+ is because it was initially scheduled to kick off at 3 pm – so it wouldn’t have been able to be steamed – but kick-off was brought forward at the request of Lancashire Police.
Leeds said in a statement on the change: “The club are frustrated this decision was not taken at an earlier date, which may now inconvenience the travel plans of supporters.
“The club also pushed back on an even earlier kick-off time, whilst ensuring the full away allocation at Ewood Park would be made available.”
Blackburn Rovers vs Leeds United team news
Leeds will welcome Junior Firpo back to the fold after his three-game suspension and the timing couldn’t have been better.
Sam Byram has filled in well at left-back but the veteran picked up a hamstring injury against Luton and had to go off in the 58th minute.
He is a doubt for the game but likely won’t start even if he makes the trip. Farke said: “Alright. Had a scan. Waiting for results. Late call tomorrow if he travels with us. We have to wait and be patient.”
Meanwhile, Mano Solomon suffered some cramp towards the end of Wednesday’s match but should be fit to play.

After a good week, Leeds have a tough fixture in Blackburn who are proving themselves to be tricky customers this season.
Rovers sit eighth in the table and picked up wins over Middlesbrough and Cardiff City in their recent games.
