Leeds United are among the clubs reportedly looking at a move to sign West Brom attacker Grady Diangana in the coming weeks – and he is a player that Kyle Bartley has previously raved about, saying he hates training against him.
Diangana, 25, is expected to be one of a number of names on the transfer list at The Hawthorns – with West Brom in need of a few sales to balance the books and reinvest in the squad. The Express & Star say Leeds are keen on him.
The report also says that Leicester City and Burnley are interested, as are a number of Saudi Arabian clubs. A fee of £7m is required for the ex-Hammers star, who West Brom paid £18m to sign back in 2020, after an initial loan spell.
So, Leeds could move for Diangana – but it might depend on the club waving goodbye to a number of current wide options. Jack Harrison, Willy Gnonto etc. Bartley, who is still at West Brom with Diangana, raved about him in 2020.
“I told Grady the other day to swap wings [in training] because he was near me. I didn’t want anything to do with it. He’s just so quick. One second he’s there, the next second he’s scored. I’m thinking ‘how’s that happened?’”.

It all comes down to which players Leeds keep, and which they are forced to sell over the course of the next four weeks. Jack Harrison and Willy Gnonto are likely to leave – more than most. Cree Summerville, could also leave.
Luis Sinisterra looks pretty set on remaining but another club could always come in for the Colombian before the end of the window. Ian Poveda is rejuvenated, Helder Costa will go, Dan James will start. So, it depends on plenty.
If three of the seven current options go, you would imagine the club will look to add a winger. In comes, perhaps, Diangana. Harrison, Gnonto and Costa could easily go. But you just never know this summer – and with Leeds.
