Archie Gray is attracting interest from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs ahead of January and next summer, but Dean Jones says Gray is intent on staying put at Leeds United for some time.
Gray, 17, has starred for Leeds this season – both in midfield and on the right of defence. His form has caught the eye of England’s management, with Gray already making his U19 and Elite Squad debuts.
90Min state that Gray is also catching the eye of Premier League clubs. Manchester City, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle are all keen. Borussia Dortmund are also looking at a move.
Gray has a contract at Leeds until the summer of 2025 – and cannot pen a new deal until he turns 18, in March. That gives other clubs the chance to raid Leeds beforehand, for the “magnificent” midfielder.
However, transfer expert Dean Jones has told Give Me Sport that Gray’s stance is to remain at Elland Road for the next few years – saying he is hungry to become a key part of the side under Daniel Farke.
“I don’t think Leeds will be especially concerned. Gray is ingrained in the culture of Leeds. He’s hungry to become part and parcel of that team and that setup. So, I think he’ll stay at Leeds for the time being.
“Further down the line, it will depend on how far Leeds can push themselves. If they can’t get back to the Premier League, his future will be in doubt. For now, I think he has to focus on being a Leeds player.”

One hopes that this is his stance. He is the future of Leeds, and a player that Leeds fans can connect with given his family history and that Andy, Frank and Eddie have all worn the white shirt of Leeds.
His younger brother Harry is also on the books at Leeds, starring for the U18 side – at just 14. Surely, given he is only 17 senior appearances into his career, he is best off staying at Leeds and developing.
