Arsenal and Tottenham have been scouting Leeds United star Archie Gray as his list of admirers continues to grow – following reports of a possible Liverpool bid after a superb start to the season.
That is according to 90Min, who claim Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea have all sent scouts to watch the 17-year-old in action for Leeds this season. He has started 13 of our 16 Championship matches this term.
The report also says that Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle are monitoring the midfielder, who of late has been operating on the right of defence. It comes after The Mail carried a report on Gray.
They said that Liverpool were preparing a bid come next summer, with Everton and Palace also among Gray’s admirers. The report also said that Leeds had slapped a £50m price tag on the star’s shoulders.
Gray has a contract at Leeds until 2025 and the club cannot offer him a long-term deal until he turns 18 – and until then, there will be doubts over his future. 90Min say Dortmund have also shown interest.

But, it is also claimed that Leeds are proving stubborn – desperate to keep Gray at Elland Road for a number of years. Aidy White said he had spoken to Gray’s Father, who is keen to see him improve.
But the interest is surely mounting in Gray and that probably comes as no surprise, with the talent showing the kind of form expected of a seasoned pro at just 17 in the Championship. A real wonderkid.
Hopefully, Leeds can keep hold of Gray for a number of years before inevitably, cashing in on the future England star. To do so, we will need to gain promotion in order to remain level with Gray’s ambitions.
