Graham Smyth shares why exit-linked Leeds trio aren’t in full training yet

Luis Sinisterra, Tyler Adams and Jack Harrison have all returned to Thorp Arch for Leeds United’s pre-season.

That is according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, who report while they are all now back in West Yorkshire, all three are currently working away from the main group due to previous injury problems.

Despite that, all three are expected to be fit for Leeds’ Championship opener on August 6, providing, of course, they have not secured moves away.

Adams missed the last two months of last season after suffering a serious hamstring injury and was scheduled to return in time for USA’s June fixtures before suffering a slight setback.

Sinisterra, meanwhile, was absent for Leeds’ final five matches after picking up an ankle problem in the 1-1 draw with Leicester City as a result of a heavy challenge.

Though Harrison did not miss any football towards the back end of the campaign, he was continuing to play with an ongoing hip issue that he is now working his way to full fitness from.

Leeds are now into their fourth day back from the summer break, with the first real training session taking place on Wednesday.

New manager Daniel Farke was leading the squad for the first time, with Leeds releasing a host of pictures from the day that did not feature any of Harrison, Adams or Sinisterra.

They are, however, all now back in West Yorkshire, with Adams even reporting back as early as the end of last week in his quest to get back to full fitness.

All three have been the subject of speculation linking them with moves away this summer, with Adams and Harrison both the subject of Premier League interest, and Sinisterra having been linked with AC Milan.

The former two have been earmarked as players San Francisco 49ers Enterprises are keen to keep this summer as they look to build a squad capable of promotion.
