Leeds United expect to see ‘more movement’ in terms of incoming signings over the next week or so.
That is according to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth, who reports Leeds are prioritising domestic additions this summer.
As per the report, Leeds’ transfer activity is set to pick up once Premier League clubs return from their various pre-season tours abroad and start to make decisions on their squad.
Leeds have brought in just one new signing so far this summer with Chelsea’s Ethan Ampadu having made a £7 million move in the middle of last week.
Newcastle United’s Karl Darlow is expected to follow Ampadu imminently, with the 32-year-old undergoing a medical today after a fee of £400,000 was agreed.
Smyth shares when Leeds could see movement on transfers
Leeds remain in the market for a number of new additions this summer with Daniel Farke confirming after the win over Nottingham Forest on Thursday that several are required.
He earmarked centre back, left back and centre midfield as priority positions, though additions will also be needed at the other end.
Leeds have lost season’s leading marksman from last season in Rodrigo and a prolific number nine is a necessity to help ease the pressure on Patrick Bamford.
A creative number 10 should also be at the top of Leeds’ wishlist with Pablo Hernandez still not having been replaced despite leaving two years ago.
With this latest information in mind, it appears as though Leeds’ incomings could well go very deep into the window.
