Leeds United have rejected a £4 million offer from Valenciennes for Darko Gyabi.
That is according to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth, who reports the Whites have turned down a permanent proposal from the Ligue 2 side.
Instead, Leeds would be open to sending Gyabi out on a season-long-loan in order to provide him with the platform to gain regular minutes.

Leeds are set to complete two deals to strengthen their midfield options with both Ilia Gruev and Glen Kamara expected to undergo medicals this afternoon, as per Phil Hay.
That would put Gyabi down to fifth choice between the two new arrivals, as well as Ethan Ampadu and Archie Gray, who have both started every game in all competitions.
Leeds reject £4m bid for Gyabi
Valenciennes currently 16th in the French division and are owned by Southampton’s ownership group Sport Republic, who are vying for promotion alongside Leeds.
Gyabi had hoped to play a first team role at Leeds this season after standing out in the U21s following his £5 million move from Manchester City last summer.

However, that has not been the case so far under Daniel Farke with 17-year-old Gray having moved ahead of him in the pecking order.
Gyabi was handed the opportunity to impress in Leeds’ Carabao Cup match with Shrewsbury Town earlier this month, but was withdrawn at half-time after a disappointing display.
He is one of a number of youngsters who could leave on loan before the deadline, with Sam Greenwood having joined Middlesbrough, and Leo Hjelde and Cody Drameh likely to follow.
