Junior Firpo is set to feature in Leeds United’s friendly against Manchester United on Wednesday.
That is according to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth, who reports Firpo is likely to involved in Oslo with nothing imminent regarding a potential transfer away.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Firpo is believed to be keen on seeking a new challenge this summer following Leeds’ relegation to the Championship but did report back for pre-season last week.
Marseille are among the sides reportedly keen on the 26-year-old, who has two years left remaining on his current deal at Elland Road after joining from Barcelona in 2021.
Amid ongoing talk of a potential exit, Firpo had been labelled as a doubt heading into Leeds’ pre-season opener against Man United, though it now appears he will feature.

It remains unclear as to whether Firpo will leave on loan or permanently this summer, but an exit seems to be what all parties are keen to get done.
With that in mind, it feels somewhat of a pointless exercise including him in the squad for the friendly if he isn’t going to have a part to play this season.
Additionally, Leeds will not want Firpo getting injured as it could well put a potential move in jeopardy, particularly if it is serious.
This time 12 months ago Firpo picked up a serious knee injury that ruled him out for eight weeks in Leeds’ pre-season opener against Blackpool.
If the same were to happen again this summer, Leeds would be left with someone who does no longer want to be here, and someone they are keen to let go.
