Leeds United played out a 0-0 draw against Manchester United in Stockholm on Saturday afternoon and Glen Kamara was left impressed by one of Daniel Farke’s players.
Amid the heat of the transfer market, which has seen Leeds sign Sean Longstaff and close in on Anton Stach, Daniel Farke took his side to the Strawberry Arena to take on Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United.
The two sides played out a 0-0 draw in which Jayden Bogle probably had the best chance, only to see his effort thwarted by veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton at the near post. Leeds acquitted themselves very well.
That is despite making 12 substitutions throughout the match, seven of which came at half-time. Leeds even earned praise from Amorim himself for their display, with the squad now set to jet off to Germany.

Ethan Ampadu posts on Instagram after captaining Leeds again
There is going to be more change this summer, after Leeds waved goodbye to four senior players at the end of last season – Josuha Guilavogui, Manor Solomon, Joe Rothwell and Junior Firpo – and signed five.
Yet, one constant Leeds can rely on is captain Ethan Ampadu. With last season’s starting players looking over their shoulder when it comes to their place in the side, Ampadu will have no doubt he is starting.
Described many times as Leeds’ most-important player by Farke, Ampadu played the first half against Man United before being replaced by Sean Longstaff and the skipper posted on Instagram afterwards.

Not only is Ampadu consistently in the starting line-up when fit, but Ampadu has proven to be one of Leeds’ most-consistent performers over the last two years. Whether that is in defence, or in midfield.
With Jaka Bijol signed, it appears Ampadu won’t be required at centre-back. Especially, with Pascal Struijk and Sebastiaan Bornauw as back-up. Kamara was full of praise, describing Ampadu as “Mr. Consistent”.

Kamara is back at Ligue 1 side Rennes after leaving Leeds in the summer of 2024, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab. His future remains in doubt.
