‘Give credit’: David Wagner seriously impressed with one Leeds United player v Norwich

Crysencio Summerville is one of the best players in the Championship, and the Leeds United winger turned on the style against Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday.

Leeds United came from two goals down to beat Norwich City 3-2 in the Championship on Saturday.

Norwich were 2-0 up at half time against Leeds.

It did not look very likely at the time that Daniel Farke’s side would be able to launch a comeback.

But, that is exactly what Leeds did.

The West Yorkshire club scored three goals in the second half to win the Championship game 3-2.

Crysencio Summerville was at the centre of the comeback.

The 21-year-old Dutch winger scored two goals, first on 77 minutes and then on 85 minutes.

Summerville’s first goal for Leeds against Norwich came after he curled the ball home.

The winger’s second saw him finish off a rapid break.

Norwich manager David Wagner was impressed.

The Yorkshire Evening Post quotes Wagner as saying: “First one we were very sloppy in the final third where we have to show composure. 

“I think we defended the three against three quite well to narrow the centre and to give the wide area

“Obviously then the cross comes in] and we concede an own goal.

“Second, I like to give credit to the player, I think it was a quality shot and the third one this is wrong decision making.

“It’s a free-kick, we have a three against one here on one side and we decided to play long ball, and after we lost it, we decided to go on the front foot rather than to drop and this is how we gave the goals away.”

In my opinion, Crysencio Summerville is a Leeds United gem.

The Dutchman is only 21 and is going to get better and improve in the coming years.

The Leeds no. 10 is very quick and is skilful.

And, he is now starting to score goals.

Summerville has made eight starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for Leeds so far this season.

The winger has scored four goals and given two assists in those games.

Leeds are third in the Championship table at the moment with 22 points from 12 matches, six points behind second-placed Ipswich Town, who have played 11 games.
