Leeds United certainly have a growing fanbase, especially since the arrival of current owners 49ers Enterprises in 2023.
Leeds United remains a club steeped in history and tradition, with one of the largest fanbases in British football.
Right now, the club is looking to return to the Premier League after being relegated on the final day of the 2022/23 season.
In their first season back in the Championship, Leeds United lost in the Championship play-off final to Southampton who are currently rooted to the foot of the Premier League table.
But Daniel Farke has the club on track for another promotion push. After a 3-1 win against Middlesbrough on Tuesday night, Leeds now find themselves in 2nd place of the Championship table.
And Leeds returning to the Premier League under their new owners could see their fan bases grow even more. Already, though, there’s one German manager who says he’ll have a keen on eye on the club this Christmas.

In the German third tier, Mitch Kniat is trying to get his Arminia Bielefeld side promoted.
His team currently sit in 4th place of the table but finish for their winter break on December 22nd, having almost a month out of action.
Asked whether he’ll be able to relax during the break, Kniat said not, going on to explain that he’ll be watching Leeds United, whose no.2 Christopher John is a friend of Kniat.
The Bielefeld boss told German outlet Filmpost: “I’m going to Eschweiler for Christmas and enjoying family time. But I’m watching English football on TV; the game of my friend Christopher John.
“So I can’t do without football. After that comes vacation, first in the sun, then on the snowboard.”

What Daniel Farke tells German fans about Elland Road
Farke is of course a well-known name in German football. He spent several years playing in his native country and was in charge of Borussia Dortmund II before he arrived in England with Norwich City.
Then before he arrived at Leeds in July 2023, he’d spent a year in charge of Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.
Speaking in 2023, Farke revealed what he tells German fans about Leeds United and about Elland Road.
He said: “I’ll be honest with you, so quite often in Germany, we’re always asked: so in the motherland of football, which is the most exciting stadium? Everyone in Germany expects you to speak about the big six or whatever. And obviously, there are some amazing stadiums.
“But I always mention: ‘listen, Elland Road is also pretty, pretty special and a unique atmosphere’.”
With the Farke connection, and Kniat another, Leeds may have a growing presence in Germany, which could even be a market they look for more new signings in years to come.
