Fulham fans all ridicule Leeds United following Rodrigo Muniz transfer update

Leeds United have been linked with a move for Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz to spearhead their Premier League attack.

Daniel Farke and the 49ers intend to sign a Premier League proven striker, with an ageing Patrick Bamford the only Leeds United centre-forward with that experience.

Mateo Joseph and Joel Piroe have just three Premier League games between them, and all of them belong to the young Spaniard. It makes an addition vital in the striking position.

Muniz has been identified by Leeds as an option, although a move seems to be unlikely and Leeds may have to look elsewhere already.

Fulham fans have taken to social media to react to the transfer story, with many finding it hilarious and ridiculing the mere suggestion.

Two further responses were similar, noting Leeds have as much chance as Fulham do of getting Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal: “Why on earth would he sign for them😭😭? More chance of us getting yamal” and “🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣and i have made an enquiry to sign Yamal.”

Another added: “In the same vein of optimism, I have made enquiries to see if Margot Robbie fancies a pint in the Goldem Lion one night soon …”

Another Fulham response implied that Leeds are not a more attractive proposition now: “😭😭😭 as if they could get him anyway, it’s not 2022 anymore.”

Rodrigo Muniz has a misleading goal record

His goal return doesn’t jump off the page, but Muniz’s development over the last 18 months has been particularly impressive.

The 24-year-old has scored 20 and assisted three in his last 55 games for Fulham since January 2024, which includes just 13 starts in 2024/25 as well.

It seems strange to suggest Leeds would not be a tempting option for Muniz, given that he has been second fiddle to Raul Jimenez.

However, his current trajectory suggests he is about to be handed more games by Marco Silva or be sent elsewhere for an expensive transfer fee.
