Enzo Maresca is looking to take the pressure off his Leicester City side for tomorrow’s trip to Leeds United.
The Championship’s top two go head-to-head under the lights at Elland Road on Friday with Leeds knowing a win would move them to within just six points of the Foxes.
Leeds are in the in-form team heading into the match having won eight consecutive matches, while Leicester will be looking to avoid back-to-back defeats after losing to Middlesbrough last time out.
Leicester have been the division’s pace-setters for pretty much the entirety of the season so far, and do hold a decent cushion as it stands. Leeds, meanwhile, could drop to fourth with a defeat, and if results on Saturday don’t go their way.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference earlier today, Maresca believes it is a bigger game for Leeds than it is Leicester due to how far ahead they are at the moment.

He said: “It’s a huge game for them. For us, it’s one more game. I think it’s an important game, and every time we win a game, we move closer to the target. But if it doesn’t happen, we keep going.
“It’s a huge game, but for them more because they are nine points behind us. If we are nine points behind, yes, it’s the game we have to win.”
Leicester will be wary of the fact they could be dragged into an automatic promotion battle with a defeat, but Maresca is probably right in saying it is just about a bigger game for Leeds.
Leeds know that one or two consecutive slip-ups could leave them cut adrift in the race for second place, just because of the standard that has been set by all four sides at the top of the division.
With all that said, there will still be plenty of twists and turns in the race for the top two regardless of the outcome of tomorrow night, and so it certainly isn’t the be all and end all.
