Greek reports emerged on Monday saying Olympiakos man Pierre Kunde is flying to England with Leeds United said to be ‘strongly interested’ – and here are five facts on the Cameroon player ahead of a possible Elland Road move.
A report from Nova Sports stated that Bochum chose not to activate the permanent option in their loan deal for the 27-year-old, and now he is set for a new spell in England. Leeds are the only club mentioned, as showing interest.

Leeds interested in Kunde, Five facts on Cameroon player ahead of move
Career overview
Kunde is yet to find a club he can really call home. Atletico Madrid’s B-team saw him go on loan a couple of times. Mainz lasted three years, just 70 games. Olympiakos for 18 months, loaned to Bochum. He needs a permanent stay.

Change in position
Starting off as a bit of an attacking midfielder, Kunde scored 11 goals in 38 while on loan at Extremadura and then five while with Granada. But after joining Mainz, he dropped deeper. Scoring four in 70. He got one in 13 at Bochum.
Cost £6.5m in 2018
The potential is clearly there. Mainz decided to splash £6.5m on the unproven Kunde in 2018, when he was just 22. It came after his impressive loan at Granada. He failed to live up to that fee and was sold cheaper to Olympiakos.
Carlos Corberan spell
During the first part of the season, Kunde was heavily involved for Olympiakos under Corberan – who himself only lasted about six weeks with the Greek side. He played under Corberan eight times before the Spaniard was sacked.
Win in World Cup over Brazil
Kunde was part of Cameroon’s World Cup squad. While he was an unused sub in their opener against Switzerland, he started in the 3-3 draw with Serbia and then, the 1-0 win over Brazil. He has 34 caps for his country.
