Greek outlet Nova Sports claim Olympiakos midfielder Pierre Kunde is ‘packing’ his bags ahead of flying to England and joining a Championship side – with Leeds United the only club named and said to be showing ‘strong interest’.
Kunde, 27, is a Cameroon international with 34 caps to his name. A hard-working holding midfielder that moved to Spain aged just 16 and joining the Atletico Madrid ranks aged 17, in 2013. A regular for the B-team, he went on loan.
Extremadura first, then Granada. His form with Granada in Spain’s second tier during 2017-18 saw Mainz pay a big £7.5m fee for him. After just 70 outings in three years, he was sold to Olympiakos where he remains on the books.
Last season, he was loaned to German side Bochum, but only clocked up 13 outings. Kunde then is a player with talent and potential, but is yet to realise that on a regular basis. Leeds are now set to chance their arm on him.

The report claims Bochum had an option to buy, with his Olympiakos deal ending next summer. But, Bochum were not convinced he was worth the permanent fee. Now, he is on his way to England to join a Championship club.
Indeed, the report says that he is ‘packing’ his bags ahead of the trip. The report names one club in the form of Leeds, stating there is ‘strong interest’ from the Whites as we look to rebuild our squad ahead of a promotion tilt.
Whether or not Kunde actually ends up at Leeds remains to be seen. But the African ace is keen to move to a club in England and with the report stating Leeds are the ones showing interest, it looks as if Kunde could be on his way.
