Leeds United summer transfer target Edouard Michut is closing in on a move to Adana Demirspor.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports Michut is set to join the Turkish side on loan in a deal that will also include an option-to-buy at the end of the season.
Michut was reportedly among Leeds’ midfield targets during the summer with Romano reporting the Whites were among several clubs keen on the Frenchman.
The transfer guru claimed the likelihood of getting a deal done was dependent on the conditions set by current club PSG, which clearly did not match Leeds’ valuation of the player.
Michut was frozen out at PSG throughout the summer and alongside several other players, was told to train away from the rest of the first team.
Leeds target Michut close to Turkey move
With Michut still very much a highly-rated youngsters, it is a surprise that he has had to wait this long to secure a move away from PSG.
Turkey is currently the only league in Europe whose transfer window remains open which means Michut has not been left with much choice in the last couple of weeks.
Michut spent last season on loan in the Championship at Sunderland but after helping them get to the play-offs, all parties came to a mutual agreement not to pursue a permanent deal.
Leeds’ interest in the 20-year-old never really seemed to develop after that tweet from Romano as they instead opted to pursue other midfield targets.
In the end, Ilia Gruev arrived from Werder Bremen, before Glen Kamara followed soon after from Rangers, leaving Leeds well-stocked in the midfield department.
