Leeds United target Viktor Gyokeres is now flying to Portugal to complete his long-awaited move to Sporting club De Portugal from Coventry City.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who exclusively revealed an image of Gyokeres pictured alongside his agent Hasan Cetinkaya on a flight ready to finalise his transfer.
As per Romano, a deal was finally struck between the two clubs in excess of £20 million over the weekend after several weeks of talks, with medicals now scheduled to take place once he lands in Portugal.
Gyokeres has been the subject of intense speculation during the early weeks of the window after Coventry were beaten by Luton Town in the play-off final in May.
Leeds had taken a fancy to Gyokeres back in January but were never able to get a deal done, and their hopes of signing him this summer almost dashed completely after relegation, with eyes firmly set on playing at the top level.

Leeds can file this under the category of another missed opportunity in the market during Victor Orta‘s time as sporting director, to go along with several others that also slipped through their grasp in the last three years.
Josko Gvardiol, Rodrigo de Paul, Cody Gakpo, Noa Lang and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia are among just some of those Leeds were keen on during their time in the Premier League, but ultimately failed to bring to Elland Road.
Given Leeds’ need for an out and out number nine in January, Gyokeres could well have been the man to keep the Whites up last season had they managed to sign him.
Since Leeds’ relegation, though, Sporting CP have always been the front-runners for the Sweden international’s signature, even despite Premier League interest.
Even despite the frustration of not signing him in January, Leeds will probably be glad they will not come up against him next season, with Coventry a considerably weaker side without him, even having already replaced him with Ellis Simms.
