Sporting Club de Portugal have finally reached an agreement with Coventry City for the signing of former Leeds United target Viktor Gyokeres.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports a deal of just over £20m has been struck between the two clubs, with medical tests now being scheduled.
Gyokeres has been the subject of intense interest this summer after Coventry were beaten by Luton Town in the play-off final in May.
Another impressive campaign of both goals and assists meant Gyokeres was always set to play at a higher level, especially with just 12 months remaining on his deal at the Sky Blues.
Leeds had taken a fancy to Gyokeres back in January but were never able to get a deal done, with their hopes of signing him this summer almost dashed completely after relegation.

Premier League clubs including Everton and Fulham had been linked with Gyokeres this summer but Sporting CP have always been the front runners for his signature.
Leeds will be counting this as another missed opportunity in the market under Victor Orta to go along with several others that also slipped through their grasp in the last three years.
Josko Gvardiol, Rodrigo de Paul, Cody Gakpo, Noa Lang and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia are among just some of those Leeds were keen on during their time in the Premier League, but ultimately failed to bring to Elland Road.
Given Leeds’ need for an out and out number nine in January, Gyokeres could well have been the man to keep the Whites up last season had they managed to sign him.
However, Leeds will probably be glad they will not come up against him next season, with Coventry a considerably weaker side without him, even having already replaced him with Ellis Simms.
