Leeds United teen Finlay Gorman has already attracted the attention of both Manchester City and Newcastle United with his form this season – and The Secret Scout says we will do well to keep him.

Gorman, still only 15, has broken into Leeds United’s U18 side this season. He scored a brace and got an assists in a 6-1 win over Stoke City, and has gone on to play five times for the club’s U18 side already.

He has missed the last three U18 League games, having travelled with England’s U16 side – alongside Harry Gray – to participate in Le Tournoi Val-da-Marne. He has started two of England’s three matches.

Indeed, Gorman scored one of England’s two goals in a 2-2 draw with Switzerland on Saturday. There is no doubt that wonderkid Gorman is going to have a massive future – but it might not be at Elland Road.

The Yorkshire Evening Post claim Manchester City have opened talks for Gorman, but face competition from Newcastle. The Secret Scout answered a question on Gorman, saying we will do well to keep him.

Leeds will do well to keep Finlay Gorman according to expert

The fact that Gorman, at just 15, is scoring goals for England’s U16 side and for our U18’s is thoroughly impressive. He is playing well beyond his years already, so no surprise, there is interest mounting in him.

Gorman will have to brought into the first team in the next couple of seasons if Leeds stand any chance of keeping him at Elland Road. You would like to think by the end of the season, he will be in the U21’s.

Or at least, will have made his debut. What may help Leeds is that he is not the only sub 16-year-old shining for Scott Gardner’s 18’s. Archie Gray’s brother Harry has also been promoted to that level.
