Leeds United weren’t able to make the most of the possession in the second half against Preston, as they could only manage a late equaliser.
Daniel Farke‘s side weren’t at their best against Preston, as they barely made any openings in the first half.
When Leeds finally did create a golden opportunity, Brenden Aaronson skied the ball when it looked easier to just slot it past the onrushing Freddie Woodman.
However, things improved in the second half as there was more control about Leeds’ play, though they did leave it late to grab the equaliser as substitute Mateo Joseph saved the day.
Interestingly, it wasn’t just the Leeds fans that were put through an up-and-down 90 minutes, as there was a European winning manager spotted in the stands.
David Moyes spotted in the stands during Preston vs Leeds
Leeds United aren’t in need of a new manager right now, currently well in contention for an automatic promotion place in the Championship.
Despite that, David Moyes was spotted in the stands at Deepdale.

Sky Sports cut to David Moyes sitting in the stands alongside what appeared to be a 49ers chief at one point, and the reason for that isn’t as exciting as it sounds.
The former West Ham manager, who won the Europa League at the London Stadium, actually used to manage Preston North End, and has reference them a number of times since leaving.
Paul Heckingbottom reacts to Ben Whiteman’s red card incident
Leeds United should have really been playing against ten men, as Ben Whiteman should have been given his marching orders for a second yellow card.
However, the referee decided against it and Paul Heckingbottom spoke out about it after the game.
“I don’t feel as bad as the other draws. Leeds threw everything at us and we stood strong. Players put a lot of effort in. Played against a good side there. It was going to take a goal like that to beat us.
“Definitely [can understand why Leeds are upset Whiteman stayed on]. Only decision was waiting until half-time to do it. Had to make that change.
“Leeds are a good side. You know you have to suffer in moments. I have to credit them. Their mentality and they kept going. It took a lucky goal, regardless of their pressure. I was worried the ref was going to lose control at one point.”
