Leeds United are in the market for a new right-sided centre-back this summer.
The Whites’ current only natural option in that position is Charlie Cresswell, and there is no doubt Leeds will need to bring someone in to provide competition.
Robin Koch and Diego Llorente had previously been options for Leeds but have both already left for Eintracht Frankfurt and AS Roma respectively, leaving depth at the very bare minimum.
In order for Daniel Farke’s style to work this season, Leeds will need defenders who are comfortable in possession, with the 46-year-old keen on building attacks from deep.
One man who could fit that bill is Peterborough United defender Ronnie Edwards, who is one of the best young ball-playing centre backs in the country.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Peterborough’s owner Darragh MacAnthony has claimed it is ‘unlikely’ Edwards will stay at his club this summer after attracting an abundance of interest from elsewhere.
Premier League clubs are said to be keen on the 20-year-old, but a season of regular football in the Championship could be excellent for his development.
Peterborough’s director of football Barry Fry has previously labelled Edwards as a ‘Rolls Royce’ of a defender, and his ability on the ball is what makes him stand out.
Perhaps the only down side of Edwards is that he is only 5’11, but alongside Pascal Struijk, and behind Ethan Ampadu, that is unlikely to be too much of a problem.
Peterborough are notorious for bringing in big fees for their prized assets but there is certainly no harm in trying for Leeds given their need for a ball-playing right centre-back.
