Leeds United centre forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin has the chance to join an exclusive club if he continues his prolific goal-scoring run against Brentford.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is beginning to live up to the expectations of his high-profile move to Elland Road in the summer transfer window.
Although Daniel Farke signed Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer, big things were expected of the former Everton man, who has played for England at international level.
It took Calvert-Lewin some time to find his feet in the Premier League with Leeds, but he is now clicking into gear, having scored three goals in his last three games.
Now, Calvert-Lewin has the chance to join Michael Bridges and Rod Wallace in an exclusive club at Leeds with another goal against Brentford.
Who do you want Leeds to sign in January? A striker surely has to be the priority!
Dominic Calvert-Lewin hunting place in Leeds United history
By scoring his penalty in Leeds’ draw against Liverpool, Calvert-Lewin scored in three consecutive Premier League games for the first time since August 2021 to continue his resurgence at Leeds.
According to the BBC, if Calvert-Lewin scores in his fourth game in a row against Brentford, he will become only the third Englishman to score in four consecutive Premier League games for Leeds.
Former Sunderland striker Bridges was the last Englishman to achieve the feat, when he scored four times in succession for Leeds on two separate occasions in the 1999/2000 season, as Leeds topped the table at the turn of the millennium.
Before Bridges, Rod Wallace, a staple of the Howard Wilkinson era, scored four consecutive goals for Leeds across November and December 1993.

Daniel Farke needs to bring in backup for Dominic Calvert-Lewin
While Farke will undoubtedly be pleased to see his number nine back in the goals, the dramatic draw with Liverpool also served as a reminder of how fragile Leeds’ recovery is.
With Lukas Nmecha ruled out of the game through injury, Noah Okafor struggled to trouble the Liverpool back four in the same way, as Leeds slipped to a two-goal deficit early in the second half.

The England international has rediscovered his form in front of goal
Farke’s inspired changes swung the momentum of the game in Leeds’ favour, and Leeds pulled off a great escape.
However, with both Nmecha and Calvert-Lewin enduring injury problems in the past, Farke needs to add a similarly physical presence to his Leeds squad to provide more cover for his front two.
