Leeds United’s Junior Firpo and Sheffield United’s Harrison Burrows are undoubtedly among the very best left-backs in the Championship.
Firpo, Burrows and Sunderland’s Dennis Cirkin have almost certainly been the top three in the division so far this season.
Leeds have actually been linked with a move for Cirkin ahead of the January transfer window, while Burrows is someone who was mentioned as a potential target in the summer.
That said, those reports were quickly shut down and Sheffield United eventually ended up signing him from Peterborough for around £3 million, having impressed in both the Championship and League One.
Irrespective of who Leeds brought in at left-back in the summer, they were always going to come in as second fiddle to Firpo anyway.

Firpo provided eight assists (including the play-offs) during the second half of last season and has picked up where he left off at the beginning of this, with a goal and three assists.
However, the debate regarding who has had a better season out of Firpo and Burrows has stemmed from Prutton’s Championship TOTS so far.
Prutton selected Burrows ahead of the Leeds star which has certainly caused a stir among Whites supporters, but on the latest episode of the Essential EFL Podcast, he has doubled down on his choice.
Gholam told Prutton about the reaction to Firpo’s TOTS omission: “Leeds the disgrace was leaving out Junior Firpo.”
Prutton then asked: “Who did we put in instead of Junior?” Gholam then told him Burrows.
Prutton then insisted: “He was a better player and he’s playing better.”
