Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has been told that Leeds United have one player who is ‘absolutely sensational’ in his midfield.
Daniel Farke is looking to keep up the momentum at Leeds, having lifted his side with a famous win over Chelsea.
The game featured several standout performers, with Ao Tanaka scoring a brilliant goal, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha leading the line fearlessly.
However, Leeds captain Ethan Ampadu claimed the man of the match award after a dominant performance in midfield, catching the eye of former Stoke City man Danny Higginbotham in the process.

Leeds United man Ethan Ampadu hailed as ‘absolutely sensational’
Speaking on the Two Robbies podcast for NBC, Higginbotham was full of praise for the Leeds United captain.
According to the former Premier League man, Ampadu is an “absolutely sensational” player and is crucial to Leeds’ physical approach.
He said: “I think one of the problems that they’ve had this season, or where they’ve been unfortunate, is both boxes. You know, they’ve missed good chances.
“They’ve conceded poor goals. I honestly feel that they should have more points than they currently have. However, I think they made good signings in the summer, particularly in terms of physicality. And that for me is really important.

“Because if you’re going to come up to the Premier League and go toe-to-toe with all these teams that love to dominate the ball, like Southampton tried to do, there’s only going to be one way to do it. It’s going to end badly.
“I want to give a little shout-out to Ampadu as well, a former Chelsea player. He’s been sensational. He’s been absolutely sensational.”

Leeds United need Ethan Ampadu to keep his discipline
The only blemish on Ampadu’s record this season has been his discipline, as the Leeds captain continues to walk a tightrope.
Having picked up four bookings already this season, Ampadu is now just one game away from a one-match suspension, which would be damaging for Leeds.

With Sean Longstaff on the long-term injury list, Leeds need their captain to avoid picking up a ban for as long as possible, given his important influence on the side.
Ampadu was imperious against Chelsea. The more time he spends on the pitch for Farke, the better Leeds’ chances are of pulling themselves out of relegation trouble.
