Daniel Farke has provided an update on the fitness of Largie Ramazani ahead of Leeds United’s trip to Bristol City.

Ramazani had to be replaced by Manor Solomon inside the opening 15 minutes of Leeds’ 2-1 win over Watford following a strong challenge from Festy Ebosele.

The 23-year-old had opened the scoring for Leeds just moments earlier and did attempt to carry on before eventually limping from the field of play.

Farke‘s initial diagnosis after Tuesday night was that Ramazani had twisted his ankle but at that point, the Leeds winger had not undergone a proper scan to determine the extent of the injury.

Ramazani captioned an Instagram post with, ‘I will be back’, on Wednesday evening which did not sound overly positive, but Farke has now been able to give a proper update.

Farke shares Ramazani injury update ahead of Leeds vs Bristol City

Farke was speaking in his pre-match press conference earlier today where Ramazani’s injury was one of they key topics up for discussion.

Leeds are already without Ethan Ampadu, Ilia Gruev, Max Wober and Junior Firpo heading into the match at Ashton Gate, and unfortunately, Ramazani will be joining them on the absence list.

Farke has revealed Ramazani faces a spell of between four and six weeks out after suffering serious damage to his ankle ligament.

Both Manor Solomon and Dan James will now be pushing to replace him and cement their place in the starting XI while he is out.

He said: “Sadly bad news with him. Twisted his ankle. Sadly it’s a serious ligament injury. Doesn’t need surgery but will be out four-to-six weeks. Best case last week of November.”

Farke shares promising Max Wober update

Farke was also asked about the other injuries in Leeds’ squad and had a fairly promising update to bring on Wober.

Wober hasn’t played a single minute of Championship football all season due to a combination of form and fitness, but could return to team training as soon as next week.

He said: “Max Wober I mentioned this, he’s a bit ahead of schedule. There’s a chance he could join us in team training at some point already next week and then we will see if he is available before the international break, which would be a nice little surprise.

“Normally we expected him to be back on the other side of the next international break. It could be that in the last week he’s involved at some point. It looks okay with him.”
