Daniel Farke spoke in Thursday’s press conference about Leeds United’s lack of experience and said that The Whites don’t have a player like an “outstanding” Ipswich Town midfielder.
It comes after Farke watched his side lose 4-0 to Queens Park Rangers in what was a shock result and pretty much ending any chance of finishing second in the Championship table come Saturday evening.
Leeds were shell-shocked in the first 20 minutes at Loftus Road, weighed down by the pressure of getting a win and keeping up the pursuit of second place in order to secure an instant Premier League return.
There is still a chance that Leeds finish in second place but a miracle is required. Simon Jordan says there is no chance that Leeds end up in second on Saturday, with Huddersfield needed to beat Ipswich Town.
Farke was talking in his press conference about the defeat to QPR, highlighting the lack of experience in his Leeds squad. He compared it to Ipswich, who boast 32-year-old captain Sam Morsy in midfield.
He says Leeds lack a player like the Egypt star, also mentioning Australian ace Massimo Luongo:

Farke says Leeds lack a player like Ipswich star Sam Morsy
Morsy continues to get better and better, age seemingly making him better. The midfielder has clocked up a huge 439 games for six clubs in The Football League at Ipswich, Wigan, Middlesbrough and more.
Described as an “absolutely outstanding” leader by Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna, Morsy has missed just four Championship games this season due to suspension with 14 yellow cards to his name so far.
Farke highlighted his yellow cards, stating Leeds lack a player with the experience of Morsy: “When I compare Ipswich, I look at their midfield. They have Morsy and Luongo in the decisive moments.
“Morsy, I think, 34 (32), Luongo, so these are lads who were in this position before. They know, when the offensive players are not on it. When they need to be there with a tactical foul, there with a tactical foul.
“I think, what is it, Morsy with 14 yellow cards? “If you are in this position, normally you want to have this experience of these players to bring it over the line. We don’t have this group and we know this.”

Ben Parker predicts what will happen as Leeds face Southampton
On Saturday, Leeds need to beat Southampton and hope Huddersfield manage to beat Ipswich Town. Ben Parker predicts a 3-0 win for Farke’s men, urging Leeds to score an early goal to put the pressure on.
The former Leeds defender thinks that if the Whites can take the lead before Ipswich open their account against Huddersfield, it puts McKenna’s side under pressure and could give The Terriers the advantage.
Realistically, Leeds will be in the play-offs and it is important that The Whites go into the mini-tournament with momentum. That, and to put down an early marker against a side that they could meet in the final.
