One Leeds United player has admitted he will be alone on Christmas Day with his family not travelling to Yorkshire, and Daniel Farke has said he will invite him to his house.
Such is the English way of doing things, Leeds will be in action on Boxing Day and then on the 29th of December. Leeds go to Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium on Thursday, and then face Derby on Sunday.
A busy schedule, at a busy time of the year. With games coming in quick succession, this time of the year is often deemed crucial when it comes to the entire Championship run-in and this year, it is the same.
Leeds can really take advantage given their run of games over the next fortnight compared to promotion rivals Sheffield United, Sunderland and Burnley – with the trio facing the other two clubs in the next days.
Brenden Aaronson set to be invited to Daniel Farke’s house
The Leeds player said after the win over Oxford United, in which he scored and laid on an assist, that he will be alone on Christmas Day with his family remaining in the United States, but will FaceTime them.
Asked about Aaronson remaining by himself on the big day, Farke told his pre-match Stoke conference held after the win over Oxford that he will invite Aaronson to his, reminding all that players aren’t robots.
“I didn’t even know that he will be alone, I probably will invite him to mine to come around. I’m not sure if he would want to follow this, he’ll probably prefer to be alone. You forget players are human beings.
“They are not robots. Especially when we live in times of social media and there is a lot of negativity, but they are leading a privileged life. They are living their dream, earning lots of money with their hobby.”
Leeds United have a much-easier run of games than their rivals
Over the next five games, Leeds go to Stoke and Derby, before hosting Blackburn which sees Farke take on his nemesis John Eustace at Leeds. A trip to Hull is followed by the welcome of Sheffield Wednesday.

Sheffield United, Sunderland and Burnley do battle against each other throughout the next five games. Sheffield United also have to go to Watford while facing Carlos Corberan’s West Brom in the next week.
Meanwhile, Burnley have to go to Blackburn and Middlesbrough while Sunderland’s run is slightly easier aside from games against first and third. Leeds then, have a real chance to take advantage.
