The January window is fast approaching and Leeds United are being linked with a whole host of new players, despite Robbie Evans’ comments on the club’s PSR position.
Despite trying to sign Harry Wilson on deadline day, managing director Evans said any new signing would see Leeds overstep the PSR mark. Maybe, Leeds were willing to do so in the summer, more time to rectify.
Should Leeds finally do a deal for Gus Hamer? 🤔
He might be available for a smaller price than previous windows…
The cut-off is on June 30. If Evans’ comments were simply a bluff to show other sides that they don’t have lots to spend, or just downplaying January expectation, remains to be seen, but signings are needed.
LeedsUnited.News understands there is PSR room and money to spend in January. Plenty of players have already been linked but Daniel Farke has now issued whether the club will sign any players in January.

Daniel Farke comments on potential January signings
Leeds take on Crystal Palace on Saturday night, the first of two games before the winter window is open and Leeds could add or sell players. Ahead of Palace, Farke spoke to reporters on Thursday afternoon.
The German gaffer was asked if he would make any signings: “I don’t want to speak much about January. The January market is difficult, a limited number of players available and you only have four months left.
“In the summer, you have the whole summer, pre-season, integrate them, they can adapt to style of play, to your processes. January is a difficult market because you only get a player who has a problem.
“One in their best rhythm who is overprced. I am picky in January, we are working to find a solution and we will stay awake, if we find someone who is affordable and improves us, we have to be ready for it.”
Could Ruben Vargas be the missing piece in Leeds’ jigsaw? 🔥
He's been excellent in Spain…
Who has been linked with a move to Leeds United?
The latest player to be touted with a move to Leeds is 56-time Swiss star Ruben Vargas, who Victor Orta signed for Sevilla from Augsburg in January 2025. Vargas has had a hand in seven La Liga goals this term.
Then, there is Manchester United outcast Joshua Zirkzee. A player who often plays behind the striker and looks to connect attack and defence. Zirkzee would be a sensational signing for Daniel Farke’s Whites.
Others also include Chelsea duo Tyrique George and Raheem Sterling and Ireland hero Troy Parrott. Leeds can get a win against Palace on Saturday, and such a win might suggest Farke doesn’t need any signings.
