Daniel Farke has come in for severe criticism from Simon Jordan after what the manager said about Leeds United.
The Whites have confirmed their status as a Premier League club for another season, meaning Farke can put his feet up for now.
However, there remains uncertainty over the German tactician’s future at Elland Road, as his existing contract expires in 2027.
Therefore, Paraag Marathe and the 49ers Enterprises are expected to sit down to make some major decisions this summer.
GIVE DANIEL FARKE A NEW DEAL, NOW!
Leeds United are mathematically safe from relegation.
Daniel Farke is ‘off the reservation’, says Simon Jordan
Meanwhile, Farke’s comments ahead of Leeds United‘s clash with Brighton on Sunday have become a major talking point, with Jordan putting it under the microscope live on talkSPORT.
The former Norwich City boss stressed the need for the Elland Road outfit to build on this season, suggesting that his future at the club may depend on whether or not the owners back him significantly in the transfer market.
It is safe to say that those comments have not gone down well with Jordan, who claimed that managers do not care about the consequences of breaking the bank on new signings.
The former Crystal Palace owner suggested that Leeds United chiefs must make it clear to Farke that no individual, including him, is bigger than the club.

In Jordan’s view, Farke’s attempt to put pressure on his bosses during a press conference was “off the reservation”.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “If you go spend £100million to achieve one place up the league, with respect, despite the fact that the fans will see that as ambition, it’s ambition without care for consequence, which is what football managers have. They don’t care.
“They will care in the interim period because it adversely affects them, but when they’ve departed, and something better has come along, or an opportunity’s passed them by, or they’ve failed, and they’ve been binned out the door, you will be left with the ramifications of the decisions.
“So, it’s incumbent upon good ownership to have the b**** to go: ‘I understand the backdrop, I understand the public perspective, but I’ve got a bigger responsibility, which is to try and manage this football club. I’ve got PSR to be governed by, I’ve got financial affairs to make sure that the football club are bigger than an individual’.
“It’s bigger than the owner. It’s bigger than the manager. It’s an entity in its own right, and it should have, to some extent, a blue plaque above the door, but it also has to have owners having a relationship with managers where that sort of stuff, as politely as it was done, doesn’t get played out in the media because that to me is a little bit off the reservation.”
It is impossible not to love Daniel Farke 😆
The fire beast with some more magic!
Leeds United gear up for busy summer
One cannot fault Farke for demanding a significant transfer kitty after keeping his end of the bargain and keeping the Whites up this season.
However, it would also be unrealistic to expect the 49ers Enterprises to break the bank once again after splurging £100m last summer.
It is also worth noting that the Elland Road expansion plans are also well underway.
The reality is that Marathe and Co. will sanction moves to strengthen the starting lineup with two or three major signings.
Meanwhile, it is imperative that Leeds United also convince Farke to commit his future to them.
