Georginio Rutter only got one assist during Leeds United’s 4-1 win over Huddersfield Town, but Daniel Farke has told his press conference – as per Leeds Live – that the Frenchman is simply outstanding.

Rutter, 21, has gone eight Championship matches without scoring a goal – but the club-record signing has now laid on an impressive four assists. In 13 games, he has had a hand in seven goals and assists.

On Saturday, Rutter got one assist but it was Crysencio Summerville that stole the show – four goals and assists in the 4-1 win against The Terriers. Two goals, two assists. Dan James also got himself a brace.

So, Rutter might feel it was a bit of a missed opportunity to bump his numbers up even though he got himself an assist. But, Farke is clearly delighted with Rutter – heaping praise on the talismanic attacker.

“He had a difficult start. Living in a business with criticism. His attitude of being self-critical, wants to improve. Fans are second to none. They have a good feeling for a player who is working his socks off.

“His talent and potential is outstanding. Sometimes chooses the harder option. We have worked on his effectiveness. Top level for goal involvement. Score more. He can be a really special player in the future.”

Rutter has been absolutely sensational this season. The Frenchman is scoring, creating, and providing the attacking heartbeat that is going to push us close to the top of the table – and automatic promotion.

What a player. To go from zero to hero in such a short space of time is testament to Rutter’s character. A serious talent. Leeds have got to keep hold of him come January – he is the future of this Leeds side.
