A report from The Daily Express claims Daniel Farke has ‘considered’ a move to bring Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp to Leeds United in a reunion with the English ace – but Skipp is expected to remain in North London.
Skipp, 22, enjoyed somewhat of a breakthrough season last year – playing 31 of his 82 Spurs games. He has been a regular during pre-season, scoring a brace against Barcelona last night, during a 4-2 loss to the La Liga champions.
The England U21 star is expected to be a key player for Spurs over the course of the next 12 months, and beyond. But, it depends on the kind of system Ange Postecoglou wants to play. Skipp looks as if he will be crucial for Spurs.
But, Farke has considered a move – according to the Express. Of course, Skipp spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Norwich under Farke – playing 45 of 46 Championship games, providing the midfield energy in Farke’s second title.
So, it comes as little surprise to hear that Farke has considered a move to bring Skipp – probably on loan – to Elland Road. But it as equally as unsurprising to know he will be staying, as he continues to prove his Spurs importance.

What a signing Skipp would be. The perfect combination with Ethan Ampadu – a player with unrelenting stamina, and work rate. Able to score goals as proven last night against Barcelona, and to contribute in attack and defence.
But the chances of landing Skipp are almost zero. Even if Spurs were willing to let him go, which seems unlikely, then he would be lent to a Premier League club – rather than a Championship one. Even with Farke as manager.
